‘Good music is wine turned to sound’ – Ella Wheeler Wilcox
You are invited to an evening like no other – an evening where wine meets song, where taste meets sound, and where the two weave through each other creating a multifaceted sensory experience.
Dynamic, award-winning chamber choir Evoke presents an evening of choral performance with inspiring music chosen from throughout the choral tradition.
Meanwhile, Dr James Flewellen, award-winning wine writer, judge and educator, leads us through the art and science of tasting wine, introducing fine wines that have been carefully selected to complement the music and enrich the listening experience.
Be romanced by Brahms and Mendelssohn, embraced by the passionate Verdi and Lauridsen, and cherish the lifeblood of the land with Chilcott. As taste and sound
intertwine, discover new ways to taste, new ways of listening, and new ways of thinking about the world.
This event is in aid of the Friends of the Great Hall and Archive of St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
