You love singing — not just for the music, but for those shared moments when everything clicks: the sound, the focus, the connection. You’re looking for a choir that feels alive, ambitious, and genuinely welcoming.
That’s Evoke.
Membership of Evoke is by audition. All members are required to have a high level of music literacy, ability to learn quickly and reasonable sight-reading skills. Previous choral experience is necessary.
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings, 19.00-21.30, at St Saviour’s Church, Pimlico.
The audition process is as follows:
- Send a video recording of you singing your voicepart for two choral excerpts provided (please see below for more information on the excerpts)
- Selected potential members will be invited to join a rehearsal to see if it is a good match between you and Evoke
- Audition
We currently have the following positions available:
Alto 1 or 2 (mezzo)
Tenor 1 or 2
Bass 2
Enquiries for other voiceparts are welcome and will be invited proportionately to maintain good ensemble balance. Please register your interest by emailing Victoria and we will contact you when a position becomes available.

Please prepare and record both excerpts. Recordings taken on a phone are fine as long as the image and sound are of reasonable quality and ensuring that your face is clearly visible. Parts should be sung a cappella in the written key and all rests between phrases observed true to the score.
