Repertoire

Evoke’s repertoire is quite eclectic, from classics of the choral repertoire such as Tudor anthems and Romantic partsongs, to contemporary works from composers across the globe.  Evoke aims to maintain a highly versatile musical style whilst building a core repertoire that is well-known by the choir and off-copy.  Some good arrangements of pop, rock and jazz repertoire will also make an appearance.

Repertoire includes some classics (Byrd ‘Vigilate’, Rheinberger ‘Abendlied’ and Ireland ‘The Hills’), lesser-known gems from the continent (composers including Holmboe, Bardos and Mäntyjärvi) and some cracking big works (Martin ‘Mass for Double Choir’ and Howells ‘Take Him Earth for Cherishing’).
