Tasting Notes

June 23, 2024 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm The HAC Bow, London, E3 5AA

‘Good music is wine turned to sound’ – Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Immerse your senses in music and wine with this unique, sensory experience.

We all know that our taste and smell are intricately linked and important when enjoying flavour but what about our other senses?

Let your sense of taste and sound intertwine in this union of wine and song. Be expertly guided through an afternoon of wine-tasting and choral performance, with fine wines and inspiring music carefully selected to complement and enhance each other.

Guests are invited to join dynamic, award-winning chamber choir, Evoke, in this exclusive sensory experience where taste meets sound.  Wine tastings will be led by Dr James Flewellen; wine writer, judge and educator, and co-author of the original book The Concise Guide to Wine and Blind Tasting (winner Gourmand Award for Best Drinks Education Book). Read more on his website here https://www.jamesflewellen.com/

For guests who would prefer a non-alcoholic experience, we have handpicked some tantalising beverages that will equally excite your taste buds and provide a unique sensory experience without the alcohol. Please purchase a ‘0% Alcohol’ ticket in your booking.

There will be a reception from 3pm, where guests can enjoy a welcome drink.  We ask that all guests are seated by 3.30pm for the commencement of the music and tasting experience.

The Evoke bar will be open during and after the event should you wish to experience more of our exquisite offerings.
